& ME

Hi I am Emma — a 20 year old graphic designer — who is currently studying design at the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Art and Design.

In an age where where we are filtered into oblivion, I thrive to be authentic and unapologetically myself. Born and raised on Long Island, I grew up coping with 'suburbia' and views that contrasted the conventional and materialistic. With the city in my backyard, I became obsessed with urbanization; trying to find calm with in the chaos.

My work deals with the fleeting of time and memories, social issues and perception—of self and those surrounding me. It is essential that viewers are able to experience and connect emotionally with my work. I constantly try to simplify complexities and complexify simplicity that life throws at me.

I created this website to share my work and how I view the world.

"...it’s hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much; my heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold onto it. And then it flows through me like rain, and I can’t feel anything but gratitude—for every single moment of my stupid, little life. You have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m sure; but don’t worry….you will someday.” -Alan Ball, American Beauty
